  1. Swipe some message left.
  2. Start typing something.
  3. Exit the chat, so a draft remains.
  4. Open the chat again.
  5. Try swiping the same message.

The reply widget is gone, and neither swiping the same message nor invoking the reply action from its context menu is possible until the application is completely killed. It's possible to swipe another message though, if there is more than one message in the chat.
